To all Patients and Carers
Aesthetic Day Surgery (ADS) is constantly evolving its response to the COVID-19 pandemic, and we remain committed to protecting the health and wellbeing of our patients, as well as our staff, doctors, and contractors.
During the current COVID-19 outbreak, to ensure your safety, in addition to standard infection control procedures we are taking extra precautions with our admissions process and throughout your stay at the day surgery.
These precautions include:
- Asking all patients to declare if they are suffering from any symptoms consistent with respiratory infection (particularly fever, sore throat, cough)
- Taking the temperature of patients and carers immediately on presentation at ADS for admission
- Requiring all patients to sign in with a QR code
- Maintaining social distancing and limiting access to only essential people, by discouraging patients’ carers/escorts from remaining in the facility to minimise any risk of transmission through casual contact
Anyone who has a fever or cold/flu symptoms will be asked to see their GP and given information on where and how to access appropriate follow up and COVID‑19 testing.
It is important to note Aesthetic Day Surgery does not admit known COVID-19 positive patients.
In addition, we are taking extra precautions with our staff and doctors: All staff (nursing and administrative) and doctors are screened daily before commencing work, including temperature checks.
We have also put in place additional support services for our staff and doctors to help them continue to offer the best and safest care to our patients.
Information about COVID-19 and community response continues to evolve, and we will ensure that we adapt our protocols to incorporate best practice as this information becomes available.
If you have any concerns or would like further information, please contact our staff or your doctor.
