Rhinoplasty is an aesthetic surgical procedure to reshape the nose and improve its appearance. The operation will vary depending on your physical features and your surgeon's judgement. Local or general anesthesia may be used. Incisions are usually made inside the nostrils, through which reshaping and trimming of bone and cartilage is performed. Results may vary from one patient to the next with the degree of improvement being largely dependent on the basic structure of your nose and skin and indeed on the tissues that the surgery aimed to correct. Changes may be subtle (as is often requested by our patients) and not overly obvious, with the aim being a more natural improved shape which blends in with your face.
